Tome and Meadow Lake are neighbors, but they sit in very different spots. Tome is one of the old farming communities along the east side of the Rio Grande, best known for Tome Hill, where people make a pilgrimage up the hill each year. Meadow Lake sits up on the mesa to the east of Los Lunas, on open, sandy ground with big views and plenty of wind.
